Frost was inspired by my first winter in our Kentucky home—a stark but beautiful change from the sunshine I’d grown used to in Florida. This painting captures my interpretation of the January view from our back porch: bare trees stretching toward a pale sky, horse fences tracing quiet lines through the frozen fields. It was a season of adjustment and reflection, and this piece became a way to find beauty in the stillness and subtle tones of winter.
