Crimson Terrain began as a bit of an experiment—my first time working on a black canvas. Using original collage papers I created through gelli printing, I layered and textured until the composition began to take on a life of its own. What started as pure exploration evolved into an abstract landscape that feels almost otherworldly. Perhaps it’s no coincidence that my husband and I were buddy reading Project Hail Mary at the time—space must have been on the brain. The result is a moody, dimensional piece that feels both grounded and galactic.
