This painting was inspired by a memorable April outing to Keeneland, Lexington’s local horse racing event, with our good friends from Indiana. The rain came down, the grounds turned muddy, and we all scrambled for shelter in the stands—but that didn’t slow us down. We placed our bets (and won!), cheered for the horses, and laughed our way through the soggy day. Rainy Race Day captures the lively energy, camaraderie, and sheer fun of enjoying the races—rain or shine!
