Kapi means “door” or “gate” in Turkish—and this painting is my little portal back to our amazing trip to Turkey. We spent our days marveling at the gorgeous mosques, sipping cup after cup of strong, punchy Turkish coffee, and happily stuffing ourselves with falafel and baklava. The colors, patterns, and energy of the streets and markets stuck with me, and this painting is my way of bringing a little of that magic home. Every brushstroke is a nod to adventure, flavor, and the simple joy of soaking it all in.
