Gilded Gamble was created specifically for the stairwell leading to our basement, a space we wanted to give a little personality and mood. The idea was to capture the feeling of a Prohibition-era speakeasy—dim lighting, hidden doors, and the quiet sense of stepping into something exclusive.

I built the painting around our favorite drinks: champagne for me and bourbon for Drew. The combination felt like the perfect way to bring both of us into the piece.
