Ocean’s Embrace was an opportunity to experiment with acrylic inks and the unique textures and movement they can create. I used the fluid qualities of the medium to capture the feeling of the ocean and build an underwater scene. The mermaid figure brought a sense of nostalgia, reminding me of watching The Little Mermaid as a kid. This piece allowed me to explore a more playful and imaginative side of my work.
