This painting was inspired by a dream-come-true trip to Chiang Rai with my husband, where we visited a veterinarian-run (responsible) elephant sanctuary. Having always loved elephants, it was incredible to interact with them so closely. The composition draws from photos I captured on the trip—temples, local culture, and the surrounding natural beauty—all coming together to celebrate the majesty of these gentle giants and the vibrant world they inhabit.
